California Condor - Bronze
Gymnogyps californianus - The California Condor is a New World vulture that very nearly went extinct. They once numbered only 22 birds, but thanks to conservation measures, that number is now over 500. They have the largest wingspan of any bird in North America, and can live up to 60 years.
